Great news for thinking Americans everywhere. They have to do this a few more times to get through procedural hurdles and then once again on Christmas Eve.
The bill would extend coverage to more than 30 million Americans who now lack it, while banning insurance company practices such as denial of benefits on the basis of pre-existing medical conditions.
This was 20 years ago. Sound familiar?
This time they showed footage of the presidential election rallies and claimed these were the crowds she is drawing on her book tour.
Shameful.
Truly a historic moment. The health care system in this country is a pile of garbage. This plan may not do everything everyone wants, but it’s progress and forward motion in a positive direction. Let’s hope the senate can pass their version as well.
Could it be a trend? Nice to see some good economic news.
The health care issue is an important one, and is worth posting about on this forum from time to time. It’s something that effects our quality of life across the board. The outdoors aren’t much fun if you aren’t feeling well and can’t get coverage.
Looks like no one read the actual legislation before the bill was signed.
Brilliant.
visitors would be able to pack heat in plain view of the public while in Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks.
The interpretation raises the possibility that those who tread the shores of Jenny Lake and the boardwalks of Old Faithful could brandish rifles and sidearms. For conservation groups and rangers, the specter looms of backcountry travelers arming themselves for self-defense and poachers wandering the woods with impunity.
Hey kids, lets go to the park next week and watch fear mongering guys carrying around live guns, doesn’t that sound like fun? Then afterwords we can go have a nice picnic lunch at Looney Tunes Mountain.
Nothing says “family and the outdoors at Yellowstone” like pale angry paranoid guys brandishing weapons. What’s that? A photographer got too close to a bison and charged, well don’t worry! Whiplash Johnny is here to save the day with his magnum .44. Want to watch elk and wildlife? Sounds good to me…but first explain to your kids why that 50 year old man is playing cowboy over there with a rifle slung over his back in the middle of a tourist exhibit on the side of the road. If your kid asks you “dad, is he going to shoot the elk”, just reply “no honey, he’s just really stupid”.
