I know many people are not happy with this, but I look at it this way:
First, the bison suffer a lot less and there is less of a chance of them being hurt due to the very short distance to Turner’s ranch from Yellowstone. Secondly, we are using less fuel to ship the bison and thus less impact on climate change and consumption of foreign oil sources. While some may not like the politics of this, when you look at the fundamental green aspects, it’s the best decision at this time. Of course, the ultimate goal is to just let the bison roam free, but that isn’t going to happen for quite some time unfortunately. This is the “green” solution at this time.
