More trigger happy slobs with little or no understanding of the ecosystem. This cougar was just sitting in an empty lot near a boulder pile. It was shot on sight.
I’ve come to the conclusion that many of these trigger happy outcomes are the result of a lack of education across large swaths of the country. Animal control was not called.
Rather than picking up a book and learning, most of these people are content with enjoying a six pack while watching Jay Leno. Why learn about an ecosystem and make the more difficult choices when you can just shoot shit that scares you?
Amy Jo Brown , a “game warden” featured in the video looks like she wasn’t even sure where she was.
“Being so close to apartment buildings up here and being in town, we was given the go ahead to dispatch the animal so that no one would get hurt.”
I don’t think I was too far off on the education issue.
