I’ve seen people do some very questionable things around bison in Yellowstone. For some reason they don’t understand that the animal is capable of incredible quickness, much more so than humans. This video of an Alaskan vet trying to do a bison exam eloquently illustrates that speed:

Alaska: Salazar delays ESA listing for rare loon

Not a wise move by the Bus…..er I mean Obama admin. I thought denying species protection was a Bush and Cheney specialty.

Apparently not.

Another stink coming from the general direction of Salazar. A sign of things to come?

Fisherman killed by Komodo dragon

Very sad story. These creatures have been known to bite their prey, then wait for it to die. Their mouths contain toxic bacteria which can slowly kill the victim.
