Mrs. Metcalf devoted considerable time over the years to the preservation of Montana’s remaining wild places as wilderness. She founded and chaired the Forever Wild Endowment and served on the Board of the Northern Rockies Action Group. She was a lifelong member of the Wilderness Society.
