One of the deer was dragged to a tree while alive and tied there, and eventually choked itself to death. The sad thing is, this is not a remote incident. Harassment of wildlife by snowmobilers is well documented. There seems to be something very ,very wrong with a portion of that community.
With any luck, those guys will be caught. That is just criminal.

They WERE caught and admitted their actions and now it appears that they are going for a plea bargain. Rory Kuenzi, one of the brothers, who did this has just been revoked from probation for beating his girlfriend in 2005 and is being sent to two years in prison for that…and they still haven’t gotten to the bottom of a hit and run death he caused a couple years back. He left the scene then because he thought the boy he killed was a deer. If the state had done its job back then he never would have gotten a chance to harm these animals. He is a true menace. So is his brother and his friend that were involved in this. I don’t think the girl on the back of the snow mobile is innocent either. Why didn’t she call a cop asap?

Thank you for the update on these sad people. I had no idea they were pushing for a plea. And yes, the girl on the back of the sled is just as guilty as the morons driving them.
Lets hope they are all punished to the fullest extent of the law.
