Montana: Comission supports protection of divide

Link

Lewis and Clark County commissioners on Thursday passed a symbolic resolution supporting the protection of the Continental Divide and MacDonald Pass from development.

The Helena National Forest is considering a proposal to develop the MacDonald Pass as a permanent biathlon course, and officials said a decision is expected next week.

South Dakota: Half of Badlands National Park may go back to Sioux

Kooks want to sell wilderness areas, national forests

We do not, as Pritchard claims, think all wilderness areas should be sold to the highest bidder. In some cases, the land should be given or sold to its current users. For example, Powderhorn leases most of its land from the Forest Service, and the company has a vested interest in caring for the land.
