In a recent report, the National Parks Conservation Association, based in Washington, D.C., listed 10 national parks considered most at risk from air pollution caused by approved or proposed coal-fired plants. Badlands National Park and Wind Cave National Park, which are both located in southwest South Dakota, are on the list.
Montana: Flood danger passes, but some campgrounds remain closed for the weekend
While the threat of flooding may diminish this weekend, high water in the area has postponed the opening of campgrounds near Livingston and some areas of Yellowstone National Park. Beartooth Pass was open Friday from Red Lodge to the Wyoming line.
