Friday, March 28th, 2008The incident that led to the charges occurred on October 3, 2007 on Prince of Wales Island, when two vehicles were observed by a Forest Service law enforcement officer leaving a closed Forest road that was gated and locked. The lock to the gate appeared to have been shot off, according to law enforcement officials for the Forest.

The turbines, 131 of them, could stretch across a large area of the forest near where Hardy County, West Virginia and Shenandoah and Rockingham counties in Virginia meet.
