Moose in the aspen, Gallatin National Forest

I named this guy “the rain moose” as I came around a corner of forest, retreating from a days fishing as an evening rain poured down. He was standing out in the center of the large meadow, soaking it all in without a care.

In that spirit, this bill would designate 9 million acres of Utah’s stunning public lands as wilderness. I’ve personally visited many of these places and know that they are deserving of this special protective designation.

RAWLINS, Wyo. (AP) - The U.S. Forest Service is seeking public comment on a proposal to cut trees in the Medicine Bow National Forest to deal with an infestation of bark beetles.
