Coyote densities are more than 30 percent lower in areas they share with wolves, according to a paper published in the most recent edition of the Journal of Animal Ecology. The results show that wolves limit the range and number of coyotes in an area.

The boy disappeared around 8:30 a.m. and was lost for hours in a remote, rugged area of the Wasatch-Cache National Forest. It’s 60 to 70 miles east of Salt Lake City.

Colorado: Drought harming trees

The short answer is that they are suffering sudden aspen decline, and trees across Colorado are succumbing to it.

“It’s been progressive, but last year it became really noticeable,” Dave Dallison, timber program leader for the San Juan National Forest, said on Wednesday.
