BOISE, Idaho - Sen. Larry Craig is reconsidering his decision to resign after his arrest in a Minnesota airport sex sting and may still fight for his Senate seat, his spokesman said Tuesday evening.

Cheyenne lawyer Harriet M. Hageman filed a brief on behalf of several groups representing four-wheel-drive vehicle and snowmobile enthusiasts. She said Thursday that she represented the state of Wyoming in its original lawsuit that resulted in the injunction against the roadless rule.

Hageman said she hopes the current lawsuit results in final defeat for the roadless rule.

Seventy-three percent of people who commented on the winter-use plan for Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks said they favor eliminating recreational snowmobiling from the parks, according to a report released Friday.

The Wilderness Act of 1964 defines wilderness areas as places “where the earth and its community of life are untrammeled by man.” If you take that definition for what it is, as I do, you will likely conclude that mining is prohibited in designated wilderness areas.
