A three-year-old female grizzly bear was captured at Yellowstone National Park on Sunday after wearing out her welcome.

The recent cooler weather has allowed officials to reopen rivers and streams in Yellowstone National Park to fishing.

A hiker discovered the remains on Wednesday at 12,300 feet near Mount Darwin in the park. The remains, which were accompanied by a World War II-era uniform and parachute, were being taken Monday to the Fresno County coroner’s office.

EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif.—A remotely piloted Predator B aircraft has begun flights over the West to test technology for real-time imaging and mapping of wildfires, NASA and the U.S. Forest Service said.

Unfortunately, in 2005 the Bush administration attempted to repeal the Roadless Area Conservation Rule, which set out to protect wilderness areas in America’s national forests from the damaging activities stated above. This repeal left 58.5 million acres of wild areas vulnerable to logging, mining and oil drilling.

Firefighters are making progress on the lightning-caused South Sweeney Fire located about six air miles west of Florence, Montana and just southof South Sweeney Creek. Five of the 10 initial attack firefighters were released earlier today making them available for future initial attack assignments. The fire is still listed at 10 acres.
