Montana: Huge grizzly trapped on the Rocky Mountain Front

Filed under: Outdoors — Mike @ 12:49 am

The Rocky Mountain Front is a huge wild area that stretches from Glacier to Wolf Creek. I spent some time in this area where the bear was captured last summer. It was a windy, very remote area with a great ambience of wildness. I hope to spend more time there this summer. This bear was quite a bit out into the prarie, which is remarkable and shows how wild this place still is. huge chunks of the Front remain unprotected. You can view a map of the area at this PDF link.
