Last year, over 2.8 million people visited Yellowstone National Park. But our nation’s crown jewel and first National Park cannot be defined as just the land within the park’s boundaries. There is an ecosystem that inhabits wildlife, waterways and the communities that together, make up the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.

GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) - Lightning sparked a small fire on Grand Teton National Park on Tuesday, but a spokeswoman says that rain and snow since then may have already snuffed it out.

KEYSTONE, S.D. (AP) - A 330-foot-tall tourist tower has been proposed for the Black Hills National Forest.

The developer wants to locate the observation tower — with twin glass elevators — on city property at Keystone, South Dakota.
