The environment seems to be gaining perceptive importance in many more Americans these days.

“It’s a great time to be an environmentalist,” said Lana Pollack, executive director of the Michigan Environmental Council in Lansing. “I really believe the public has reached a tipping point in terms of concern and understanding about global warming. There’s been a big change, even in just the last year.”

I took this around September 15th in Grand Teton National Park. It’s a fantastically majestic place. My first real taste of the northern rockies was waking up in a Colter Bay cabin, and walking outside into the alpine air. I was hooked. Coming from a place like Illinois, the scenery and outdoor quality is simply too much to believe. Click on the image for a much larger view.
