The Montana Department of Resources and Natural Conservation’s Chief of Fire and Aviation says Montana has seen more intense and active fire seasons since 2000, and Ted Mead says the possible effects of climate change could only make matters worse.

Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks (FWP) officials say fishing alone brings in more than $100 a year to the western part of the state. Fishing outfitters say they’ve already seen the effects of recent warming trends, with the fishing season beginning earlier because of less Spring runoff.
