The Red Eagle Fire is part of the natural cycle of fires in Glacier National Park, said fire ecologist Steve BarrettBarrett studied the fire ecology of the Park in the late 1990s.
“There hasn’t been much fire activity (on the east side) in this century,” Barrett said Monday.
