The fire was 15 percent contained Friday night and was estimated at 130,000 acres, according to Mike Goicoechea, division superintendent for the Type 1 management team that took over control of the fire Friday.

With fire smoldering in a haystack not more than 50 yards from his home, Justin Rogers didn’t get much sleep Thursday night or Friday morning.

“It was a long night,” Rogers said.
